About the Joke Doctor
Jerry Corley is a 20-year road comedian with the material to back it up. He’s been known to perform on stage for well over 3 hours keeping a college crowd in stitches throughout. A prolific writer Jerry has been a contributing writer to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno for eight years and was one of the founders of the Writer’s Forum at the Beverly Hills Friars Club. Yes, the same Friars Club that did many of the legendary roasts.
His continuous study of Comedy form and structure has enabled him to write jokes for any occasion and for any comedian. It has also allowed him to teach joke and humor writing to both beginning and experienced comedians. “Comedy is teachable, because it has structure.”
